Tiki Hut

This is my very first post!  I have a lot to share and want to catch up on everything we've done this year so here's where we started! This is a reading center I made for my monkey themed classroom:

I spray painted an umbrella with brown spray paint and then covered it with grass skirts.  My dad made a sturdy stand out of pvc pipe that is also spray painted a light brown.  I then used large bamboo sticks from Michael's. (I got them for free :) Always mention that you are a teacher!)
I also made pillows from monkey material and found a cute bath mat at Walmart.
